Ionian Boat Assistance (IBA) was founded in April 2005 by Kelvin Morris. IBA recognized the need for an organization to cater for people buying and selling boats, many of whom were based far away and needed a personal and professional service that they could rely on. They were also aware that people sail the Ionian for pleasure, often with a limited budget, young families, inexperienced crews and a lack of spares or facilities to cope with a breakdown situation. So IBA was established as a legitimate Greek registered LTD company, to address these needs. The formula and philosophy led to rapid expansion and IBAs high powered ribs and service vans quickly became a familiar and reassuring feature of the Ionian experience to their ever growing client base.

1) Breakdown Engineer Skills • Safety boat, icc power or the willingness to acquire the qualification.

Job Description
Ionian Boat Assistance provides 24 hour breakdown assistance and maintenance to sailing and motor yachts in the Ionian sea. Most of our destinations are only available by sea so we have large powerful rescue boats to enable our engineers to get to the vessel, we also have a fleet of vehicles fully equipped for dealing with major issues. As part of a team of engineers your duties will include being on the rota for emergency call outs as well as booked in maintenance work. Other responsibilities will include ongoing care and maintenance of the breakdown RIBs, company vehicles and workshop tasks.
