Full Description: Ionian Boat Assistance (IBA) was founded in April 2005 by Kelvin Morris.
IBA recognized the need for an organization to cater for people buying and selling boats, many of whom were based far away and needed a personal and professional
service that they could rely on. They were also aware that people sail the Ionian for pleasure, often with a limited budget, young families, inexperienced crews and a lack of spares or facilities to cope with a breakdown situation.
So IBA was established as a legitimate Greek registered LTD company, to address these needs. The formula and philosophy led to rapid expansion and IBAs high powered ribs and service vans quickly became a familiar and reassuring feature of the Ionian experience to their ever growing client base.
The IBA team has gone from strength to strength over the years and we are proud that our friendly and proficient approach has not only won many loyal customers who come back to us year after year but we are also constantly welcoming new customers who have been recommended to us.

Job Description
Ionian Boat Assistance provides 24 hour breakdown assistance and maintenance to sailing and motor yachts in the Ionian sea. Most of our destinations are only available by sea so we have large powerful rescue boats to enable our engineers to get to the vessel, we also have a fleet of vehicles fully equipped for dealing with major issues. As part of a team of engineers your duties will include being on the rota for emergency call outs as well as booked in maintenance work. Other responsibilities will include ongoing care and maintenance of the breakdown RIBs, company vehicles and workshop tasks.

MAINTENANCE
Ionian Boat Assistance LTD has a designated team of professional engineers and vast quantity of equipment. We work year round specialising in diesel engines, transmit ions, rigging, electrics and glass fibre repairs.
As the market leader in our area we also work closely with contractors to ensure all repairs can be taken care of in the customers absence, managing projects to ensure top quality workmanship.
Whether it is an engine service, pipes & plumbing or getting the hull cleaned and antifouled ready for your summer cruise. It is never too soon to think about those jobs that need doing in the winter.
IBA also offer preventative maintenance services to avoid future problems.

We are agents for an Athens based insurance brokers and can organize 3rd party or fully comprehensive quotes and cover for you. Please note that boats older than 15 years can be covered for 3rd Party Liability only.
