Markopoulo is linked with GR-91 (Glyka Nera - Sounio), a two-lane highway stretching down to Lavrio. Since the late-20th century, Kalyvia Thorikou is bypassed to the northeast but for Kalyvia and Anavyssos partially bypasses especially Anavyssou (Anavyssos) Avenue. Markopoulo once had a railway station, linking near Kifissia and Lavrio. Today, the nearest Proastiakos rail lies to the north. |
